This year, I had the pleasure to spent my birthday at the 7PINES RESORT IBIZA which is part of the exclusive Destination by Hyatt collection. And best of all – I was not traveling alone but with my whole family!
The 7PINES RESORT IBIZA is an all-suite seafront resort that is located in a pine grove on the cliffs of the west coast of Ibiza, between Cala Conta and Cala Codolar. The location of the 7PINES RESORT IBIZA is absolutely unique and views of the Mediterranean are simply breathtaking!
Only recently, I joint the opening of the 7PINES RESORT SARDINIA – the so far 2nd resort of the 7 Pines Hotels & Resorts brand. Surrounded by turquoise Mediterranean waters, soft golden beaches and the refreshing scents of Baja Sardinia’s native trees and plants I had an absolutely amazing time at the Costa Smeralda. Therefore, I was absolutely curious to get to know the 7PINES RESORT IBIZA as well.
Covering an area of 56,000 m2 with extensive gardens, there are 185 suites at the 7PINES RESORT IBIZA divided into three village-like areas: the Ibicenco Village, The Laguna and The Cliff. Each suite has either a terrace or balcony overlooking the grounds, gardens or sea and some suites even have their own pool.
And even for those of you who are looking for something absolutely special the 7PINES RESORT IBIZA has something in store – their two Grand Villas. The Grand Villas at 7PINES RESORT IBIZA combine the elegance, freedom and privacy of these unique domiciles with the consummate service and privileged lifestyle of 7PINES RESORT IBIZA. Our home away from home was the Grand Villa Aurora. Both Grand Villas at 7PINES RESORT IBIZA consist of four fully equipped suites with en-suite bathrooms for up to 8 people, adjacent terraces on the ground floor and a spacious living area above. Perched on the cliffs of the west coast, overlooking the iconic island of Es Vedrà, the two villas offer their own Mediterranean gardens with a boules court and whirlpool. These places definitely take the 7PINES laid-back luxury and lifestyle experience to the next level! What I especially enjoyed was the infinity pool combined with sweeping views of the sea. No wonder why the Grand Villa Aurora is named after the Spanish word for sunset as evenings on the terraces and in the living area of the villa are bathed in red light as the sun sinks into the Mediterranean. What is amazing about the Grand Villas at the 7PINES RESORT IBIZA is that in case you’d like to you have the opportunity to indulge in all amenities of the hotel in the privacy of your own villa.
Of course, we also had the pleasure to enjoy all the culinary experiences the 7PINES RESORT IBIZA has to offer. On our 1st evening, we enjoyed dinner at The View a fine dining experience on the edge of the cliff with breathtaking sea views. By serving excellent French cuisine with a subtle Nordic touch chef Andrés Fernández reveals a dreamlike world thanks to his brilliant creative ability. This unique spot, under the protection of Es Vedrà, invites you to let yourself be carried away by evocative flavors and textures capable of moving you. It is absolutely no wonder that The View was awarded by 2023 Repsol Guide with 1 Sol. and recognized by the 2023 Guide Michelin. The perfect start into a perfect family vacation!
We started our 2nd day with breakfast at the Cone Club which is open for breakfast, sunset tapas and dinner so basically an all-day round oasis for foodies and the ideal place for relaxed drinks and sharing a meal. This was also the place where we enjoyed dinner that evening – at Sunset Ritual at Cone Club. Located on the top of a cliff overlooking the soothing sea and the magnetic rocky outcrop of Es Vedrà, the restaurant exudes Ibizan vibes. I especially loved the vibrant, cheerful décor of this place – super unique! This location offers a naturally stunning, casual, and relaxed environment and the warm hospitality and heartfelt service is 2nd to none. A perfect finale to a wonderful 2nd day at the 7PINES RESORT IBIZA.
After starting our day with having breakfast at Cone Club and some pool time we enjoyed a lovely lunch by the Laguna Pool. The Laguna Pool at the 7PINES RESORT IBIZA is the family pool area perfect for little pool lovers like my niece. Of course, the 7PINES RESORT IBIZA also offers an adults-only pool area featuring an infinity pool as well as the relaxing Spa pool. After lunch from the adorable food truck we spent the whole day relaxing by the pool and I enjoyed some quality time with my niece who has a lot of mermaid qualities! 😉 That evening we had dinner at the Pershing Yacht Terrace which is the world’s first lounge and bar born from the exclusive partnership between 7Pines and Pershing Yachts. 7PINES RESORT IBIZA‘s Pershing Yachts Pershing 5X and Pershing 9X are available for charter and this way you can experience an undisturbed and unforgettable journey for example an excursion to Formentera. The Pershing Yacht Terrace is a place where modern Asian cuisine meets signature drinks which was such a happy incident as Asian is one of my favorite cuisines & I am always up for a delicious sundowner! We enjoyed the sophisticated atmosphere and exceptional setting with infinite views to the Mediterranean Sea and after delicious food and drinks called it a day.
The next day started at our favorite breakfast spot – the Cone Club! After having a wonderful breakfast, I had the pleasure of enjoying a Pure Seven Signature Massage. This comforting and deeply restorative treatment is the perfect massage for profound relaxation. I could basically feel my pressure slipping away during this long, light, sweeping massage using warm Sweet Orange, Palmarosa and Lavender essential oils and hot stones which quieten the mind, sooth tense muscles and nourish the skin. Afterwards, the day went by with enjoying ourselves, relaxing and rewinding and ended with a nice dinner at the S´illa des Bosc.
The following day was my birthday and I was more than thankful that I was able to celebrate it surrounded by my loved ones! We had fun in the sun and around the pool all day and I could not have wished for a better way to spent my birthday. In the evening, we celebrated at Grand Villa Aurora with drinks and tapas. I love sharing food and therefore, tapas are one of my favorites! It was a perfect day full of laughter and an evening full of wonderful chats and even a late-night boules tournament which was won by my mum. No way I rather would have wanted to spent my birthday!
After one last breakfast at Cone Club the next morning our family vacation came to an end. It was such a lovely few days and the 7PINES RESORT IBIZA with its warm hospitality and the absolutely unique accommodation made it an unforgettable time we’ll cherish forever!

Der Sommer scheint nicht nur kalendarisch, sondern jetzt auch wettertechnisch endgültig vorbei zu sein.
Letzte Woche auf einem Zwischenstopp in München waren es noch fast 30 Grad, in Berlin dümpeln wir so um die 15 Grad herum – das richtige Wetter für Übergangsjacken.
Vor meinem Urlaub habe ich mir vorsorglich aus ausrangierten Wollwalkstücken und einem Baumwollrest eine Jacke genäht. Hierfür habe ich einen der wenigen Schnitte gewählt, den ich schon drei Mal genäht habe: Addalinchen von Echt-Knorke. Eine vierte Version aus Jeansresten liegt auch schon bereit und eine elegante – aus Seide – schwirrt auch schon länger in meinem Kopf.
Der Schnitt ist schon einige Jahre alt (7-8 Jahre?) und passt mir in S/36 sehr gut. Die Jacke ist ungefüttert, hat aber einen großzügigen Beleg, sodass es nicht auffällt. Das spart beim Nähen sehr viel Zeit. Da die Jacke sehr weit geschnitten ist, fehlt das Futter für mich auch nicht. Ich mag das Strickbündchen bei diesem Schnitt sehr gerne: Hier wird das hintere Bündchen dreifach genommen, sodass es nicht ausleiern kann und robust ist.
Hier die zweite Variante aus sehr dickem Leinen von Etro, gekauft als Designerleftover bei Idee. Die Jacke ist schon ein bisschen speckig geworden, was mir sehr gut gefällt. Ich habe sie letztes Jahr beim Scheunennähen angefertigt und sie wird seitdem rauf und runter getragen.
Variante 1 ist aus einem dünneren Baumwollstoff mit Silberpunkten. Da ich meine Sommersachen schon weggeräumt habe, gibt es hiervon keine Fotos mehr. Wen es interessiert, der kann sich meinen Uralt-Beitrag aus 2018 anschauen. Dort zeige ich die Jacke zum ersten Mal.
Wer sich fragt, was ich auf den Fotos noch so trage: ein Shirt aus einem alten Knipmode-Schnitt sowie eine weite Dawn-Jeans nach dem MeganNielsen-Schnitt. Wenn es mit den Temperaturen so weitergeht, werde ich dann demnächst Wohl eine dicke Winterjacke nähen :-(. Schnitte und Stoffe liegen bereit.

My daily skincare routine with Noble Panacea

What also immediately caught my eye was the packaging and the fact that the daily dose is packaged in individual small patches. leuchtet und heute lade ich euch herzlich ein zum MeMadeMittwoch. Meine

Für
mich sind Blusen das ideale Kleidungsstück im Spätsommer. Das
farbenfrohe Exemplar aus einem schönen Baumwollstoff, hatte ich schön öfter an, es ist ein älteres Schnittmuster
aus der fibremood, die Bluse Odyna. Das Schnittmuster bietet
verschiedene Varianten, bauschige Ärmel, grösserer und kleinerer
Kragen. Letzten Winter habe ich ein wärmeres Exemplar genäht
aus einem leichten Wollstoff. Die Wintervariante in der Grösse M ist etwas knapp um Sie ganz zu
schliessen, deshalb habe ich für die jetzige Variante die Grösse L zugeschnitten.
In
der Länge habe ich 5cm zugegeben, das Original ist mir zu kurz. Der
längere Kragen kam dieses mal zum Einsatz. Die Bluse ist mit
französischen Nähten gearbeitet, das hat gut geklappt und macht was
her auch wenn nur ich es von innen sehe. Die schönen Manschetten zum umschlagen haben es mir auch angetan, das ist ein kleiner Twist der die Bluse zu etwas besonderen macht.
