Bangkok and Five Elements – our stay in SO/ Bangkok
The SO/ Spa offers pure relaxation
In addition to the great pool area, a very special highlight was our visit to the SO/ Spa. We love to relax with a massage and try out different massages, especially when we are in Asia.
We tried the Soothing Coco Body Massage at the SO/ Bangkok spa. It was 90 minutes of pure relaxation and, quite honestly, one of the best massages we’ve ever had – and we’ve tried quite a few. Above all, it wasn’t a typical Thai massage, where opinions differ somewhat. We felt really well looked after and treated.
Lumpini Park – A green oasis in the middle of Bangkok
Now, to our stay outside the hotel. As already mentioned, we met up with the family we hadn’t seen for 5 months.
As is somehow classic, we met in a large mall in Lumpini Park and then decided at relatively short notice to go to Lumpini Park with something cold and a snack – our personal highlight.
Bangkok can sometimes be overwhelming – hectic, loud, and full of life. But in the middle of this vibrant city, there is a place that offers exactly the opposite: Lumpini Park.
You can feel the atmosphere change as soon as you enter the park. The sounds of the city become quieter, and instead, you can hear birds chirping and the rustling of trees in the wind. Lumpini Park is large, with wide paths, lots of greenery, and numerous places to relax. Here, you can meet joggers, people doing Tai Chi, or simply people who have made themselves comfortable on a bench.
An absolute highlight is the lizards, which also stroll through the area relaxedly. It’s surreal to suddenly see such a huge animal on the sidewalk – almost like a mini safari in the middle of the city.
